Story
This coffee is grown by Marcos Miaki and his family in Patrocinio, Cerrado Mineiro. The Japanese family started working with farms in the estate of Parana, but moved to Cerrado Mineiro in the 70th and started working with coffee in 1980.
Mr Miaki produces a safe and traceable coffee, he is focused on sustainable agriculture and all his farms are UTZ and Rainforest Alliance certified.
Nossa Sra. Aparecida farm is located in the region known as Chapadao de Ferro, a volcanic area in Patrocinio. This micro-region is rich in volcanic soil and iron, rendering the area's name - Chapadao de Ferro means "Plateau of Iron". This unique characteristic of soil, altitude and climate brings exotic flavors and reflects in a deliciously distinctive coffee.
